North Sabot Series
October 1-2, 2005
Well, it was another fun and successful weekend for Team MBYC! Alex Ranum, Kevin Laube, Olin Paine, and Jay Sanchioli made the trip up to ABYC for the first phase of the North Sabot Series and produced several strong results.

Congratulations to Jay for handily winning the C1 division! Jay went into Sunday one point out of the lead, but focused hard to take bullets in the first two races and stretch out in front. He sailed a good conservative final race to a second place to ice it. Welcome to B fleet baby!!!

Meanwhile, Olin, Kevin, and Alex, were duking it out in the A fleet, where the finished 9th, 10th, and 18th respectively. Those scores don't tell the whole story though. I'm a stats guy, so I would point out that while MBYC sailors only represented 12% of the fleets in which they were entered, we took 29% of the available bullets! This means we are on the threshold of greater things. The potential is clearly there. Now it is time to refine our skills for repeatable results.
